Hello Sheldons!  This is a follow up to our recent annual meeting with two very big announcements.

First!  A BIG welcome to our new Secretary – Sissy Walker!!  We are very happy to announce Sissy joining the Board, she has been an active member for quite some time now and has contributed a great deal.  Kelly Wheaton, our previous Secretary, is still very much involved and on the board.  She is continuing as a member at large and will be focusing more of her time on her expertise in the DNA project.  Please give Sissy a warm welcome!!

If anyone else also has an interest in joining the Board, please let us know.  While we are running smoothly, more volunteers are always welcome.

Second Announcement!!  This is a big one!!  Would you like to actively work on helping us build our database??  Our weekly Sunday meeting (with Zoom, so you can join from the comfort of your home!), will now focus on how to research our Sheldon genealogy AND input that information into our database on Ancestry.com.  Anyone who has attended some of our Sunday meetings, has learned the formats that we use (for the purpose of consistency), and agreed to our general guidelines will now have access to make additions yourself.  You will be welcome to focus on your branch of the family, or perhaps join one of our projects – whatever piques your interest to work on.

We have had a fantastic and extremely productive beginning!  I’m so very proud of our group and the amazing work that we have all accomplished together.  I’m very excited to see what we discover in the near future!
